Dhaka, Islamabad to hold 1st foreign office talks in 15 years
ISLAMABAD: The bilateral foreign office consultation (FOC) between Pakistan and Bangladesh was restored after 15 years.
According to Bangladeshi media, a consultation meeting of the Foreign Office of Pakistan and Bangladesh will be held in Dhaka today. The Foreign Secretary of the two countries will lead the delegation at the consultation meeting.
Bangladeshi media said that Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch has arrived in Dhaka to attend the FOC. The meeting is expected to discuss issues of mutual interest, regional situation and promotion of bilateral cooperation.
Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is expected to visit Bangladesh in the last week of April.
