PPP UC Chairman shot dead in Karachi
KARACHI: A Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Union Council (UC) Chairman was shot dead in Pakistan Bazar area of in Orangi Town, Karachi.
Aamir Bhutto was sitting in his office in the Gulshan-e-Zia area that comes under the jurisdiction of the Pakistan Bazaar police station when two armed men walked in and fired indiscriminately.
He was critically injured and died on the spot. His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal procedures.
According to police officials, the statements of witnesses have been recorded in addition to collecting evidence from the scene.
Aamir Bhutto belonged to the PPP. After the incident, Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani, Waqar Mehdi and other leaders arrived at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) while a large number of workers were also gathered.
Saeed Ghani said that Aamir Bhutto was an active member of PPP and it seems that a conspiracy is being made to worsen law and order situation of the city.
