All banks across Pakistan will remain closed tomorrow, Thursday, May 1, 2025, in observance of Labor Day, according to an official notification issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The closure of banks on May 1 follows the federal government’s declaration of Labor Day as a public holiday, which observed annually to honor the contributions of workers and laborers across the country.
Banks to Remain Closed Tomorrow on May 1
The State Bank of Pakistan confirmed that it, along with all commercial banks, microfinance institutions, and development financial institutions, will remain closed for public dealing on Thursday. Regular banking operations will resume on Friday, May 2, 2025.
