Devon Sawa marked the 25th anniversary of the horror classic Final Destination by exciting fans with the possibility of his return to the franchise.
The 46-year-old actor, known for his role as Alex Browning—the character who narrowly avoided death only to meet a tragic fate later—expressed his willingness to reprise his role if given the chance. “I would for sure return if that [opportunity] ever came up,” he told People magazine. Despite his character’s demise in the second film, he made a brief cameo in Final Destination 5, hinting that a comeback could still be possible.
Sawa, a horror genre veteran, has continued making posthumous appearances in various projects, including the Chucky TV series. “Being part of Chucky, Final Destination, Idle Hands—all this stuff, it’s what I like to do. It’s what I like to watch, so I like to do as much of it as I can,” he shared.
Reflecting on his late Final Destination co-star Tony Todd, who passed away in November 2024, Sawa remembered him as “cool” and “a great guy.” He also recalled a chance encounter with Todd on a flight, joking, “Tony Todd and me on a plane? What are the chances?”—a nod to the film’s eerie premise.
