Pakistani singer and actor Farhan Saeed has weighed in on the viral Farshi Shalwar trend, offering a fresh perspective that has caught everyone’s attention.

The traditional floor-length, wide-legged shalwar has taken the fashion scene by storm, with both celebrities and the general public embracing the look. Clothing brands continue to introduce new designs, while men, including actor Fahad Mustafa, have also joined the trend.

Amid the excitement, Farhan Saeed took to Instagram to share his thoughts, writing, “I wish that along with Farshi Shalwar, Farshi Attitude (humble behavior) would also become a trend.” His remark quickly gained traction, with many agreeing that fashion should also reflect positive social values.

Meanwhile, the debate over who revived the Farshi Shalwar continues. Makeup artist Sara Ali credited the trend’s resurgence to Sadaf Kanwal’s brand, while others believe designer Hussain Rehar brought it back with his bold creations. Some also argue that actress Anmol Baloch popularized the look in the drama Iqtidar.

Adding to the buzz, Ayeza Khan shared an Instagram post, saying, “This is my 77th Farshi Shalwar of the season, and I’m still loving it.”

Once a Mughal-era fashion staple, the Farshi Shalwar has made a grand comeback, blending historic elegance with contemporary styles.
