Haris Rauf Admits Struggles, Calls Ali Raza Next Big Star in Pakistan Cricket

Lahore Qalandars’ fast bowler Haris Rauf expressed dissatisfaction with his own performance in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 season. In a recent interview with Samaa TV, Rauf candidly acknowledged that he had not lived up to expectations in recent matches.

While reflecting on his own form, Rauf also took the opportunity to praise emerging Peshawar Zalmi pacer Ali Raza for his impressive performances. “Ali Raza has made an impact among the emerging players,” Rauf noted, highlighting the youngster’s growing reputation in the domestic T20 tournament.

“The debut of a fast bowler should happen soon,” he added. “Ali Raza is the future of Pakistan cricket,” the Qalandars’ speedster emphasized, indicating strong support for the young talent’s potential national call-up.

Ali Raza’s consistent performances have drawn attention from fans and experts alike, adding depth to Peshawar Zalmi’s bowling attack and strengthening his case as a promising asset for Pakistan’s cricketing future.

Meanwhile, in the PSL 2025 fixture lineup, Multan Sultans are set to face Quetta Gladiators in the 18th match of the season. Both teams will be looking to strengthen their positions in the points table as the tournament progresses toward its mid-stage.
