KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab on Wednesday inaugurated an Aap to digitalize its salary disbursement process.

Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has officially become the first local council to digitize its salary disbursement process.

With the support of the Click Project (CAPS), KMC has successfully shifted its salary payments to the SAP system in the first phase of the initiative.

Starting this month, salaries of KMC employees will be disbursed through the SAP digital platform.

Talking to the media, Murtaza Wahab highlighted that the move ensures complete transparency, efficiency, and maintains a secure digital record of all transactions.

In the second phase, pension payments will also be migrated to the digital system, further enhancing service delivery. He said there will be no double salaries for any employees.

Mayer Murtaza Wahab informed that System has caught 101 employees who were receiving double salaries.

Mayor Karachi said that the Red Line Project has matter for embarrassment for him and added that the project would take two more years to complete. He said Minister for Transport is working hard continuous to complete the project.
