New business opportunities in China for Pakistani investors announced

Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, has said that there are many business opportunities in China for Pakistani entrepreneurs, especially in areas like solar energy, electric vehicles, real estate, and engineering.

He was speaking at a business networking event held on Saturday, organized by the Pakistani Embassy in China along with a private company. The ambassador encouraged Pakistani businesspeople to explore the Chinese market and form strong partnerships with local companies.

Many business leaders attended the event, including heads of Pakistani engineering and construction firms already working in China. They had in-depth discussions about how to increase Pakistani involvement in China’s growing market, especially in the engineering sector.

Ambassador Hashmi shared that about 100 Pakistani companies were working in the engineering sector in China last year, and this year that number has grown to 200, showing a clear rise in interest and success among Pakistani businesses.

MoUs signed across key sectors

A key highlight of the event was the signing of several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between Pakistani and Chinese companies. These agreements span multiple sectors, including engineering, and aim to facilitate smoother collaboration, investment, and knowledge sharing between the two countries.

Ambassador Hashmi reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting bilateral trade and investment under the broader framework of China-Pakistan cooperation. He also encouraged more Pakistani businesses to explore opportunities in China’s booming green energy and infrastructure sectors.
