Peshawar Zalmi secured a huge 120-run win over Multan Sultans in the ninth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10, played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on Saturday. The victory was powered by a strong performance from Ali Raza, who took 4 wickets for 21 runs, and a quickfire 52 runs from Tom Kohler-Cadmore.

Batting first, Zalmi put up a big total of 227 runs for 7 wickets. Although they had a rough start with Saim Ayub and Babar Azam getting out for just 2 runs each, Cadmore turned the game around with an explosive 52 off 30 balls, hitting two fours and five sixes. He got good support from Mohammad Haris (45), Abdul Samad (40), Hussain Talat (37), and Mitchell Owen (34). Alzarri Joseph and Luke Wood stayed not out at the end.

Multan Sultans struggled while chasing the target and were all out for just 107 runs in less than 16 overs. Only Usman Khan (44) and Shai Hope (20) offered some resistance. The rest of the batting line-up, including skipper Mohammad Rizwan and big names like Iftikhar Ahmed and Ashton Turner, couldn’t make an impact.

For Zalmi, Ali Raza was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets, followed by Arif Yaqoob who took 3, Mitchell Owen who got 2, and Saim Ayub who chipped in with 1. Luke Wood and Alzarri Joseph didn’t get any wickets.

On the bowling side for the Sultans, David Willey, Michael Bracewell, and Ubaid Shah each took two wickets, while Iftikhar Ahmed got one. Usama Mir and Akif Javed went wicketless.

Overall, it was a dominant all-round performance by Peshawar Zalmi.
