Security forces killed 16 terrorists in North Waziristan operation
Sixteen terrorists (khwarij) were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to ISPR, the operation took place in the Ghulum Khan Kalay area, where security forces thwarted an attempt by terrorists to cross into Pakistan. The firefight resulted in the deaths of 16 militants.
The ISPR restated Pakistan’s consistent calls for the Afghan interim government to implement effective border management. It is expected that the Afghan authorities will fulfill their duties and prevent their territory from being used against Pakistan.
The Pakistan Army affirmed the security forces’ commitment to safeguarding the country’s borders and eliminating terrorism.
