PM, JI Ameer discuss public relief in electricity prices, Palestine
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a phone call on Saturday from Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Ameer-e-Jamaat-e-Islami, who expressed his gratitude for the recent reduction in electricity prices.
The Prime Minister appreciated the gesture and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to prioritizing public welfare despite the challenges. He assured that the government’s focus on public relief would continue and expressed confidence that Pakistan’s development journey would move forward.
During the conversation, the two leaders also discussed the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza. They expressed deep concern over the unprovoked bombings and atrocities committed by Israel against unarmed Palestinian civilians and condemned the international community’s silence on the matter.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong support for Palestine and pledged to raise the issue at every international forum, emphasizing the country’s unwavering stance on supporting the oppressed Palestinian people.
The discussion highlighted their shared commitment to both domestic public welfare and advocating for justice for the oppressed abroad.
