Over 416,000 tourists flock to Swat during Eid holidays
During the Eid holidays, the beautiful Swat Valley became a popular spot for tourists, with over 416,000 people visiting from across the country and abroad.
Even after the holidays ended, many visitors stayed behind to enjoy the area’s famous places like Kalam, Malam Jabba, Fizagat, Bahrain, and Mahodand Lake, which helped local businesses, especially in tourism and hospitality.
Among the visitors were 101 foreign tourists from different countries who also chose Swat as their Eid getaway.
Saeedur Rehman, a spokesperson for the Upper Swat Development Authority, said they had made all the necessary arrangements to handle the large number of tourists, including security, cleanliness, traffic, and accommodation.
He added that the local authorities are working to make Swat a safe and welcoming place for all visitors.
